Sustainability

We blend top-tier laundry services with eco-friendly initiatives, demonstrating our dedication to both quality and sustainability.

At DCS, we are dedicated to operating in an environmentally responsible and socially conscious manner. Here are some ways we are making a positive impact.

Equal rights

We believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with respect and fairness. We promote equal opportunities for all employees, regardless of gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation, and strive to create an environment where everyone can thrive.

Waste reduction

We are committed to reducing waste at every stage of our operations. From implementing recycling programs to minimising packaging waste, we are constantly seeking ways to reduce our environmental footprint and promote a circular economy.

Community engagement

We actively engage with our local communities to support environmental and social initiatives. Whether it’s participating in clean-up events, sponsoring local charities, or providing educational outreach, we are committed to being good corporate citizens and giving back to the communities we serve.

Water & energy consumption optimisation

We have upgraded to a cutting-edge, fully automated water and steam network. Our advanced touch-screen interface allows for remote monitoring and control, ensuring we constantly optimise water and energy usage throughout our facility. This technique recycles steam and heat to avoid wasting additional energy.

Well-maintained fleet

To further enhance our operations, we have implemented a dedicated tyre management system. This system guarantees that our tyres are always in optimal condition, promoting safety, performance, and sustainability. By keeping our fleet in top condition, we ensure timely and dependable delivery for all our valued customers.

Our eco-friendly chemicals

By integrating sustainability into every aspect of our business, we are not only doing our part to protect the planet but also creating a better future for generations to come.

Efficient washing machines

Our washing machines consume only 4 litres of water per kilogram of laundry. This innovative approach significantly reduces water usage without compromising on cleanliness.

In addition to water efficiency, our machines operate at reduced heat levels, further conserving energy. We also employ optimised and automated chemical dosage systems to ensure that the precise amount of detergent is used for each load. This not only enhances the effectiveness of our cleaning process but also minimises chemical waste and environmental impact.

Water treatment

We prioritise water conservation by implementing advanced water treatment technologies in our facilities. Through filtration and recycling systems, we minimise water wastage and ensure that our operations have minimal impact on local water resources.

Health

At DCS, we prioritise the health and well-being of our employees. Consequently, it is essential for us to organise health campaigns that include:

  • Anti-flu vaccinations
  • Medical examinations
  • Hepatitis vaccinations

These initiatives reflect our commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for everyone at DCS.

The safety and health of our employees is a very important subject. At DCS we implement the safety standards required by OSHA 2005 in our various activities. In a safe and healthy workspace, employees can be more productive and contribute to the success and development of their respective companies.

It is essential for employees to be informed and have the right training to assess and prevent risks. Prevention is a priority at DCS and also demonstrates our commitment to establishing a positive culture of safety and health at work.

Safety

For the safety at DCS:

  • Health and Safety Committee: We foster collaboration in decision-making between our employees and management to cultivate a positive workplace culture.
  • Firefighting and First Aid Training: This training is scheduled annually to ensure preparedness.
  • “Toolbox Talks”: These are 10-minute briefings on health and safety topics, organised to raise employee awareness.
  • PPE: Our employees are equipped with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to minimise exposure to hazards that could cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses.

By being prepared to deal with different situations, employees quickly become aware of the risks of accidents and their role in maintaining safety in their workplace.

Training is essential for us to maintain the necessary level of safety in our operations. Refresher courses on different modules are organized during the year to ensure that each member of the team is properly trained.
