Water
Treatment
100% of the incoming water goes through our Softening Plant. This process removes the hardness in water to ensure the best water quality throughout the year for washing your linen.
Recycle
We do believe gold is blue. Our “Aqua Recycle” plant, designed in the USA, has a recycling capacity of more than 70% of waste water. This helps us to minimise our impact on the environment. The filtered water goes through UV and Ozone treatments for complete disinfection.
Energy
Recuperation
A complete pipe network made of stainless steel recently installed throughout the entire factory now allows us to recover most of our waste energy (hot water and vapour). Using the latest technology, all this once wasted energy is re-injected to the main system.
Reduction
We have installed the latest technologies from John Thompson to our coal boiler, the heart of our factory. This helped us reduce the coal consumption required to produce the steam, while ensuring a constant steam temperature throughout the factory.
Emissions
Our boiler’s coal combustion being now optimised, our Grit Arrestor retains with ease most of the remaining emissions to ensure we are within the acceptable range set by the government. Major updates scheduled for 2019 will allow us to achieve even better standards.
Detergent
Since 2017, we have connected all our Continuous Batch Washers (tunnels de lavage) and more recently our smaller washing machines to Christeyns’ technology. This allows us to dose our “Ecolabel” detergents precisely, optimising washing quality while minimising waste and thus reducing our impact on the environment.
